Poked and Prodded!!!!!!

Hey guys here is a video from a few weeks back when i was lucky enough to be invited to go to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital for some Physical testing. Thanks to Adam Scott and the Staff of the hospital for being so cool and helping me out. I enjoyed it. Also to Joss and Justin for the support and filming. Cheers JM.

Bondi Boys

Well just had a big weekend with a bunch of the Bondi Lifeguard boys.. Moondoggy,Reidy,Corey and Tom came down for the weekend and we had plenty of fun and good laughs. 1st off we had the 3o km Saltwater Festival Paddleboard Race on Saturday which went from Brunswick Heads and finished off at Salt. Conditions were perfect with a 3-4 ft e/se swell running and a good 15 to 20 knots of South wind blowing.Perfect for that stretch of Coastline. Things didn't all go to plan but.. Reidy and his partner Simon who were doing the teams race had there escort Jet Ski break down and nearly catch on fire before the race started .. So they decided to go 15 km in one hit then swap instead of being able to swap every 15 min or so. So just when u thought things were coming together Simon who was paddling 1st felt that his board was feeling sluggish and then realized his board was sinking! Yes you heard right. Sinking . So he had to swim with his board 2km to shore trying to salvage the board. Lucky Moondoggy who was driving a ski with my mate came to the rescue and picked Simon up from walking on the beach with his board.. So Reidy's day was over before it began. Sorry buddy.. But Tom and Corey finished the 30km and really done themselves proud. With not much training under the belt and paddling there boards for the 1st time it was a big effort boys. Well done.

Tom had to scoot straight to the airport to get back to Sydney but as you do we all had a few beers later that night and talked story. Sunday was mothers day and i decided to take the boys out on our 4 man surfing canoe. They were all pumped and it was a perfect day for it.. It was 2 ft and the Alley was perfect for the canoe. We caught some good waves and actually didn't flip once which is unusual for me when I'm steering haha. We finished off with a Barby on Sunday arvo and it was time for the boys to head home.. LA HUI KAI READY TO RUMBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well the Team from La Hui Kai have been under the pump the last week trying to make a deadline that was moved forward to ship boards to Hawaii for the Battle of the Paddle in June.Adrian,Mick and Andrew(Moose) done a awesome job getting them finished and packed up for the 10 am pickup tomorrow morning. There is a total of 8 boards heading over. Six 12'6 BOP boards and one 14ft and a 17ft for Molokai. So there will be plenty of Boards to come check out..Make sure to drop by the La Hui Kai Tent to check out the custom boards and the Surftech Tent for the New 12'6 JM Model.. You wont be disappointed.. Take them for a test drive and see what the Buzz is all about... Here are a few photos of the finished products.. Cheers JM

CAMP QUALITY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well today i was very lucky to be invited to a Fundraiser organised by S.A.N.D for the Camp Quality Foundation. S.A.N.D was the brainchild of the late Denis Callinan a great human being who did alot for charity on the Gold Coast and was taken from us too early a few years ago. And for those who don't know what Camp Quality is it's a great Organization which helps kids with Cancer get out and about and do fun things and raises money for kids. So our mission today was to take the kids surfing and stoke them out.

We had a really good turnout of Stars turn up to help with the kids. Kelly Slater, Steph Gilmore, Dave Rastovich,Luke Munro,Haley Bateup, Luke Egan, Wayne Dean, and Wayne(Rabbit) Bartholomew all turned up to help out which was awesome... We spent about 2 hrs in the water at Greenmount and it was perfect conditions for the kids. Water was warm and sun was out. For a little while anyway haha.. It really makes you think how lucky we all are that we have our health and are able to do what we do day in day out after spending some time with these kids. They are fighters and really inspired me today.Thank you to everyone who helped out it was so cool seeing the huge smiles on all there faces even though there were a few spills.. And to my mate Calumn. Sorry about the Double Up i pushed u into mate!! Were all sweet but hey! Take care JM

SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well sorry Ive been so slack/busy.. Have lots to talk about. I have just got back from a SUP trip to the Maldives and it was a epic trip.. Got some great waves.. I have also just got back into training for the upcoming paddle season which is shaping up to be a big season. I'm looking forward to getting my new 18ft Paddleboard from La Hui Kai which should be finished next week. I'm going to start a weekly video blog counting down the weeks to Molokai and show you some of the training our group gets up to.. So standby as i will update the Maldives trip very soon once i get some photos of the trip sent to me. Also i will post the 1st Video blog next week as well.. So stay tuned i will try and make up for being so quiet lately..Take care Jamie
